Privacy Policy

Copst is local-first. Clipboard history stays on your Mac by default.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

What Copst Stores

Copst can store copied text, copied images, screenshot previews, OCR text detected on-device, pins, boards, app exclusions, preferences, and StoreKit entitlement state so the app can help you search, edit, and paste your clips.

Where Data Stays

Clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac in Copst's application support storage. OCR runs on-device with Apple's Vision framework. Copst does not upload clipboard history automatically.

Tracking And Analytics

Copst does not sell your data, does not show ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the current build.

AI In Public v1

Public App Store v1 does not include production AI and does not send clipboard content to an AI service. Future AI features will require a production backend, updated privacy disclosures, and explicit user action before any selected content is sent.

Purchases

Copst beta is free today. Paid App Store purchases are not open yet. When purchasing launches, purchases and restores will be handled by Apple's StoreKit and verified transactions will unlock paid features.

User Controls

You can turn history recording on or off, choose whether Copst records text or images, exclude selected apps, set a history limit, and clear local clipboard history from Copst Settings.
