Privacy Policy

Copst is local-first. Clipboard history stays on your Mac by default.

What Copst Stores

Copst can store copied text, copied images, screenshot previews, OCR text detected on-device, pins, boards, app exclusions, preferences, and StoreKit entitlement state so the app can help you search, edit, and paste your clips.

Where Data Stays

Clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac in Copst's application support storage. OCR runs on-device with Apple's Vision framework. Copst does not upload clipboard history automatically.

Tracking And Analytics

Copst does not sell your data, does not show ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the current build.

AI Actions

Copst does not process clipboard history with AI automatically. If AI actions are enabled in your build, Copst sends only the selected text when you press Fix Writing or Draft Reply. Copst's backend forwards that selected text to OpenAI with storage disabled for the request. AI actions require an explicit button press and do not save or paste the result until you choose to. AI access is usage-limited through a paid plan so recurring provider costs are covered transparently.

Purchases

Website purchases use Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes payment details and returns checkout status to Copst so the website can create a signed license key. App Store purchases, when available, will be handled by Apple's StoreKit.

User Controls

You can turn history recording on or off, choose whether Copst records text or images, exclude selected apps, set a history limit, and clear local clipboard history from Copst Settings.
