questions.
Can I use Copst without automatic paste?
Yes. You can find and copy a saved clip, then paste it yourself. Automatic paste needs macOS permission to send the paste keystroke to your chosen app.
What stays on my Mac?
Your clipboard history and on-device OCR. Public builds keep AI disabled. Sync and shared libraries are not included today. See the privacy policy for storage, payments, and exports.
Does OCR work instantly?
Later scans can be quick, but the first scan may take about a minute while Apple’s recognition models initialize, and can time out. You can retry without restarting Copst; the original image remains available to copy or paste.
How do website purchases work?
Stripe handles checkout. After a successful payment, the confirmation page retrieves a license key. In Copst, open Plans and choose Use Copied License. The one-time plan covers local tools; Plus renews monthly or yearly.
Can I use it on iPhone or iPad?
The mobile app is in development and is not available yet. The current download and plans are for Mac. There is no cross-device sync today.
